Collection: A Woman Seen

A Woman Seen tells the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4:4–42.

In this piece, the dark centre of the well represents a deep emptiness. Just as the woman returns to the well each day for water that will only temporarily satisfy her thirst, she continually returns to a life of sin that leaves her longing for more. Two fingerprints represent Jesus and the Samaritan woman, meeting beside the well. Jesus knows her past and sees the emptiness of her life, yet He does not turn away. Instead, He offers her living water that will satisfy her deepest thirst and never run dry.

A Woman Seen launches October 30.
