Collection: A Woman Forgiven

A Woman Forgiven tells the story of the woman caught in adultery in John 8:2–11—a story of condemnation met with compassion, and sin met with forgiveness.

In this piece, 32 black fingerprints represent the Pharisees, standing in a rigid formation as they surround the woman and condemn her. In contrast, Jesus draws protective circles in the sand around her. Rather than adding to her condemnation, He protects her, forgives her, and washes her clean.

Every fingerprint in this artwork represents an individual within a larger story—a reminder that we, too, have a place in the stories of Scripture and in God’s greater story of redemption.

A Woman Forgiven launches October 30.
